Textile Projects

 

As well as my art work for exhibitions I have a great passion for textiles and textile projects.

 

My studio in the converted piggery and privy are freezing cold in the winter months and in this time to keep my creative urges flowing I tend to use my sewing machine as a creative outlet.

 

I was bought a sewing machine by my lovely husband that coincided with a football world cup - to keep me out the way!

Before this I had been using my great grand mothers hand turn wheeled sewing machine (which I still have). The first major project was a king size duvet cover when I was on maternity leave from my full time job with our son.

 

On this page is a sample of some of the things I make. I use no patterns, very rarely use any pins and like the "hand made" element of the work that I create as gifts for friends and family.
